Dear Mr. Lee,
I read your story today about day care services in the Auburn-Opelika area and wanted to send you an idea for a follow up.
While day care services are scarce and prices are increasing in Lee County, Project Uplift, an Auburn University non-profit organization, offers volunteer services to children in the Auburn-Opelika area at no cost to their families. Auburn University students will be opening a new after-school activities camp on Monday, Jan. 30, for Lee County children to be taken care of while their family members are busy. The camp will be filled with activities for children of all ages to participate in.
You can read more at http://cla.auburn.edu/projectuplift/.
If this is something you’re interested in, please let me know and I will put you in touch with Monica Dougherty, Project Uplift’s camp organizer.
